apocalypse story is a multimedia science fiction series about a city on the precipice of radically different futures. as underground televangelists broadcast ominous messages about the end of the world, unrest threatens the hegemony of a corrupt biotechnology industry. thousands of refugees displaced by climate disasters crowd the harbor in informal settlements, constantly clashing with the sprawling police state. the chaos constantly threatens the city’s fragile status as a safe haven from war, famine, and instability elsewhere.
the story starts with veronika belyakof, the estranged daughter of a local biotech magnate, returning to the city after five years away from home.
